My little girl, Sofia, recently turned 3! Each birthday for Sofia is a big milestone because she really had to fight to be here. She was born with a severe heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, and underwent several heart surgeries to try and help her. She eventually needed a heart transplant and received her special heart in April 2009. We were so excited to throw a her a party with her friends and just watch her be a normal, healthy kid with the rest of the little girls. We had her party in Canada this year (where I was born and raised). It was so much fun!
